Sometimes real superhero's live in the hearts of small children fighting big battles

Meet Jonathan... our very own superhero. 

Every day, he lives and fights with Cerbral Palsey (CP) and every day he powers through with the positivity and determination that we as adults can only strive to embody. 

Jonathan has been given an incredible opportunity to undergo a procedure called Selective Dorsal Rhiztomy at St Louis Children's Hospital which is the world leader at this particular procedure that can permanently reduce the impact of people with CP. 

Now this won't cure Jonathan, but will provide Jonathan something that we take for granted- a completely new opportunity to move- hopefully without pain...essentially another life within his life with CP. 

This treatment is something that can only occur once per patient as it is carried out on the nerves of the spine and with this in mind, the decision to go to Dr Park of St Louis Childrens hospital was made due to his extensive experience with the procedure (He has 4000 such procedures under his belt) 

Jonathans lion hearted parents have left no stone unturned as they do whatever they can to impact his quality of life and his super hero spirit and are doing all they can to bring their dream for their super hero to life. 

Needless to say, the financial impact of this journey is huge, and the family has not asked for this support- but as their friends, we have chosen to rise up and support them as they have supported us.

As students and friends, we hope to contribute in a very uncertain time to their dreams and hope that you too, will be the change that we all wish to see in this world. Plain and simple love.
