Årlig havner rundt 8 - 12 millioner tonn plast i havet. Her utgjør den en enorm trussel for alt marint liv. Havnæringene utgjør en stor del av dette problemet, og det er på tide at vi også blir en del av løsningen. Vi må beskytte havene som en næringskilde for framtidige generasjoner. Vi må rydde opp havplasten.    

For havplasten forsvinner ikke av seg selv. The Ocean Cleanup, en nederlansk ideell organisasjon, utvikler og skalerer teknologier for å rydde havene for plast. Målet deres er å gjøre seg selv overflødig etter at havene er ryddet for plast.

Mørenot er stolt av å ta del i The Ocean Cleanups reise ved å hjelpe dem i utviklingen av deres plastoppsamlere (System 002 og System 03). 

Nå ønsker vi å invitere dere til å bli med å støtte en av de største miljøutfordringene i vår tid. Vi starter derfor en innsamling for å bidra til The Ocean Cleanups oppdrag om å rydde havene for plast.

About 8 - 12 million tonnes of plastic end up in the ocean each year, posing an immense threat to all marine life. Ocean industries are a big part of this problem, but it’s about time we became part of the solution. We need to protect the ocean as a food source for future generations. We need to clean up ocean plastic.

The ocean plastic isn't going away by itself. The Ocean Cleanup, a Dutch non-profit organization, is developing and scaling technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. Their goal is to put themselves out of business once the oceans are clean.

Mørenot is proud to be a part of The Ocean Cleanup's journey by helping them develop their ocean cleanup systems (System 002 and System 03).
