Accessible events for queer women, nb and trans people
Sappho's Friends is a community for queer women, non-binary people and trans people of all genders. Our core values are accessibility, inclusivity, intersectional feminism and community building.
Community members organize all kinds of events, and for winter/spring 2024 we are planning to have book clubs, life drawing sessions, craft workshops, a Norwegian language café, a clothing swap, a club night and much more.
Most of our events are completely free, and everything is done on a voluntary basis. This is to make our events as accessible and inclusive as possible.
We do, however, need some funds to pay for things like food and materials, and if we have enough we would like to also be able to pay instructors and people who help make the events possible.
For the club night that we are organizing in collaboration with QCC, we are working with DJ's, performers and others who are helping us create a magical night that aslo serves as a safe space for queer women, nb and trans people.
By donating you are supporting our wonderful queer community, and helping us keep the events as accessible as possible.
