XR Youth is organising a protestival on June 14th@Bankplassen!

We are a grassroots movement and as such we're looking for funding to make it happen! Every kroner you donate will go straight to the festival, and anything left over will be donated to the causes highlighted during it.

The festival will focus on human rights violations in Nigeria, Ecuador, Argentina, Uganda & Tanzania (EACOP) and Palestine. The companies we want to shed light on are Shell, Chevron, Exxon, Total, Paz Oil Company and British Petroleum. 

Why these companies? Well, these are several of the largest oil companies, and their contempt for human life and dignity is unmatched. We have one simple wish: The Norwegian Oil Fund must disinvest from oil companies that commit human rights violations!

The one-day festival will feature several artists and bands, as well as activities, workshops, film-screenings, art, and, of course, demonstrations and direct action. 

This gathering aims to be intersectional, and a meeting point for the climate movement and the human rights movement. Together we will stand up against Norwegian investment in human rights violations.

What do we need funds for? It is not a walk in the park organising a festival nor is it free! We need funds to rent out equipment, feed and water people, produce leaflets, posters, banners, placards, buy art and workshop materials and hopefully pay the artists and bands!
